Toxteth Chocolate is the creation of Rebecca Birtwistle, a northwest-born Liverpool-based chocolatier who has lived and worked in Toxteth for almost 10 years.

Having trained and worked in the creative industries - and with a passion for design - I first started exploring the potential of chocolate in my spare time. Intrigued with those first results, I enrolled in a confectionery course, which opened up a world of creative possibilities to me.

I want to inject some fun and innovation into the world of chocolate - and a little bit of Liverpool flavour, too! I’m inspired my the vibrancy, variety and colour of my neighbourhood everyday, and hopefully my chocolates reflect that.

We've partnered with a number of charities locally; most recently with L8-based Bridge2 Liverpool, who support the asylum seeker, refugee, and local community from their base in Toxteth. We are always looking to make connections with charities locally - if that's you, just get in touch with your project or event!
